homemade pizza seasoning

I am obsessed with the little spice packs at Little Caesar’s. But sometimes when I get pizza from there I’ll forget to ask for them and I won’t have any when I get home. (This situation also happens when I’m feeling crazy and order from someplace a little more upscale). I am sure you have felt similar jeopardy before. Here’s how to make it from home.

pizza seasoning

{you will need: italian seasoning, pepper, salt, crushed red pepper, garlic powder, and paprika}

pizza seasoning

{combine the ingredients into a bowl}

pizza seasoning

{then use a mortar and pestal to make the mixture nice and fine}

{it should be almost like a powder}

{it should be almost like a powder}

pizza seasoning

{put the seasoning into an empty shaker}

{voila! flavorful pizza}

{and voila! flavorful pizza}

Homemade Pizza Seasoning

This recipe will sprinkle about 2 pizzas. (or one slice if you’re me)

1 tsp. italian seasoning (includes oregano, basil, rosemary, parsley)

1 tsp. sea salt

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes (or 1 tsp., depending on personal taste)

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/4 tsp. paprika

1/4 tsp. onion powder (optional)
